BA in Musical Theatre

Unlike your typical voice coach, Joel is a professional actor and singer in Singapore. Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the 2019 Straits Times Life Theatre Awards and a semi-finalist for the television talent show Star Search 2019, Joel has not only performed on national television but also live in the 2000-seater theatre at Marina Bay Sands. He was last spotted in The LKY Musical in 2022, performing alongside Kit Chan and Adrian Pang, and has worked with various theatre companies. His training in psychology, coupled with his expertise in acting, singing, and movement, has allowed him to develop his own comprehensive approach to voice - covering not only the technicalities of speaking but also tackling the underlying psychology behind performing and public speaking. As a public speaking coach, Joel is committed to empowering others to express themselves freely and confidently. Joel has a BA in musical theatre from Lasalle College of the Arts and has also trained in New York Film Academy amongst many others.
